Dr. Takumi Yanaihara graduated from Keio University
School of Medicine in 1961and became M.D. in 1962. He received Ph.D.
degree from Tokyo University in 1968. He worked at Montefiore Hospital
in Pittsburgh as a Research fellow from 1968-1970 and served as
an assistant Research Professor at University of Pittsburgh from
1970 till 1971. He was appointed as an Associate Professor at Teikyo
University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (1972-1975) and
at Showa University (1975-1985). He was promoted to become a Professor
in1985 and became a Chairman in 1988. He retired from the University
in 2000 and became Professor Emeritus of Showa University. Last
year, he was elected as an Honorary Fellow of American college of
Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also an Honorary Member of
Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Japan Society of
Fertility and Sterility. He published many scientific books and
articles which included to the Journal "New England J of Medicine,
Lancet, J Clin. Endocrinol, Amer J Obstet Gynecol, etc."
Dr. Yanaihara has been seeing foreign patients at Tokyo Medical and Surgical Clinic once a week and delivering, operating many foreign patients for more than 25 years since 1975 till 2001.

He is good in English and pleased to see foreign patients. His office is located very closed to Wadazuka Station (one stop from Kamakura Station by Enoshima rail road)..
He is specialized in reproductive medicine, endocrinology including menstrual disorders, menopausal symptom and HRT, fertility and sterility, prenatal care, and general gynecological check up for cancer and family planning.
